Becoming a sustainable business involves integrating environmental, social, and economic considerations into your operations and including your networking strategy. The BforB passion for sustainable enterprise resonates in all our processes. Some of the ideas we share with our members and stakeholders.
Building a sustainable local network as much as possible by conducting a thorough assessment of your current environmental and social impact in terms of your business supply and client chain can identify key areas where you can improve, such as energy consumption, waste production, and supply chain practices in terms of travel by your firm or your supply chain or client chains for doing business with you.
Depending on you ambitions for growth, establish a clear, measurable sustainability goals and targets. These can be measured by reflecting and aligning with broader sustainability frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the United Kingdom guidelines in your sectors.
Implement and demonstrate your commitment by creating a formal sustainability policy, objectives, and strategies. Communicate this policy to employees, stakeholders, customers and your BforB network. It is likely that the group are able to support you strengthen your sustainability vision.
Perhaps the most important part where possible is to set to connect and do business with local businesses. General rule of thumb for launching and working a group with us for example is community of businesses within the 40 mile radius of a venue. BforB advocates the “Buy local, support local business” policy in its local networking and franchise creation process.
Most of our franchisee keeps the money you invest with us, meaning your investment in networking with us will be spent in the local economy by somebody who lives and support your communities. Over the coming months our mission to reach out further to the UK, communities and international businesses to spread sustainable networking and living in general working the BforB way.
